So finally I presented the index I have been working on for almost two years in front of quite distinguished audience and got mixed reaction. But I am happy as most of the comments were not at all disturbing considering that those are the very common criticism against any index. These criticism were primarily based on the selection or omission of certain indicators. Though every researcher loves to have all the comprehensive indicators to capture an aspect/dimension, they are handicapped by poor availability of data or poor quality of data.
